Utilisation of the MEWS scoring system (Modified Early Warning Score), is now the recommended assessment of vital signs. The aim of these systems is to identify patients at risk / deteriorating status which triggers an immediate response through scoring points for abnormal physiological values.
This day will appeal to healthcare professionals working in any environment which utilises the MEWS scoring system. Theory surrounding its development will be explained and clarified to underpin its utilisation in the clinical
arena. The day incorporates a practical workshop to consolidate theoretical delivery. |
