Paediatric Minor Illness Course - Charles Bloe Training

This new 2 day course aims to enable delegates to identify a variety of ways in which the ill child presents and feel confident in carrying out a physical assessment.

COURSE CONTENT

DAY 1

>	Legal and professional responsibilities
>	Anatomy and physiology
>	Psychological development – an overview
>	Taking a history & physical examination (specific to ages 0-14)
>	Respiratory system
>	Abdomen
>	Neurological
>	Musculo-skeletal overview
>	Skin assessment

DAY 2

>	Introduction into pharmacology in paeds
>	Review of body systems related to presenting conditions of:
	~ Pyrexia
	~ Ear, nose and throat
	~ Headache and injury (meningitis)
	~ Common gastro-intestinal complaints
	~ Skin conditions
	~ Common minor injuries in paeds.
