  Diastolic Heart Failure
 

Diastolic heart failure poses considerable burden to patients, frequent admissions to hospital, frequent disability and ongoing symptoms after hospitalisation. This program identifies the cause of diastolic heart failure, identifies clinical ways to distinguish causes of diastolic heart failure, provides a description of the pathophysiology of heart failure with diastolic dysfunction and describes treatment options and principles of diastolic heart failure.

N.B. This program was originaly produced for US healthcare workers.

Dr. Jessup is Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She is the Medical Director of the Heart Failure/Transplant program of the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
