This hands-on workshop provides essential training in vaccination techniques, Basic Life Support (BLS), and anaphylaxis management, to ensure you are confident and prepared for real-world scenarios.

Course Overview Section 1 – Vaccination & Emergency Considerations

This section covers the professional and legal aspects of immunisation, including:

• Consent and record-keeping
• Vaccine storage and safe handling
• Common complications and emergency responses

You’ll then participate in a practical demonstration and supervised practice to develop confidence in administering vaccines safely.

Section 2 – Basic Life Support (BLS) & Anaphylaxis

This section provides the knowledge and practical skills to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies, ensuring patient safety and high-quality care. Training includes:

• Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on adults, children, and infants
• Placing individuals in the recovery position
• Managing choking incidents

You’ll also learn to recognise and respond to anaphylaxis, including:

• Understanding allergic reactions and anaphylaxis symptoms
• Administering rescue medication such as adrenaline
• Applying emergency procedures to prevent life-threatening complications

The BLS training aligns with UK Resuscitation Council guidelines, ensuring best practices are met.
